I would guess that the timing has more to do with the Christian Holiday coming up. Harassment has a tendency to be at its worst during the High Holy Days season and then again with the Christian holiday in December.
See that is the thing it happens just so often that is hard to tell. I find the timing highly suspicious because it follows right when I criticized fandoms, but it could be not at all related to that. I was just saying I find the timing suspicious is all.
